Ingrid was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, which is in the northern part of the Black Forest. In 1964 Ingrid came
to the United States of America, where she worked in the Village Deli in Queen's Village, New York. In 1980 she moved to Virginia where she opened the Edelweiss Restaurant in March 1981. In the year 1990, Ingrid married
her husband Walter, who was born in Salzburg, Austria. Walter also lived in Vienna and Heidelberg, Germany prior coming to the United States in 1957. Walter helps out as a waiter and makes sure that the Edelweiss has a
great selection of beers and wines. Ingrid continuous to take meticulous pride in cooking her mother's recipe exactly as she was taught as a little
girl. It is through her diligence of never changing any of the recipes that Ingrid continuous to honor the memory of her mother. |
